This year IAEA aims to select 150 students.

The IAEA Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme (MSCFP) was launched in 2020 by the IAEA Director General in an effort to increase the number of women in the nuclear field, supporting an inclusive workforce of men and women who contribute to and drive global scientific and technological innovation.

Doctoral Summer School „Computation and Modelling” – 4-8 July 2022

The doctoral summer school Computation and Modelling will take place 4-8 July 2022 (Monday-Friday) on the main campus of Wrocław University of Science and Technology. The school is organized by the Doctoral School of WUST under the InterdocSchool Project of the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) and by K. Bogdan (WUST).

Faculty of Applied Physics and Mathematics invites all students and staff members to the on-line talk Research and career development opportunities in medical physics:  radiation therapy and imaging of cancer, delivered by prof Piotr Zygmański from Harvard Medical School. The webinar will take place on Friday, 19th of February, at 14:00 (CET).   

Research interests of Piotr Zygmanski, Ph.D., DABR, Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School, are:

-  X-ray detection employing nano-and micro-structured thin film detectors,

- Radiosensitization and imaging of tumor employing high-Z nanoparticles,

- Medical linear accelerator quality control of cancer patient treatment,

- Radiation transport using Monte Carlo simulations and deterministic codes,
