The program will revolve around applied mathematics viewed as an interdisciplinary area at the interface with engineering, physics, geology, biology and social sciences with this main subject:

Mathematical Modelling for Natural Disasters (MMND-BIP)  based on the study of stochastic and elastodynamics equations for earthquake dynamics , mathematical models for natural disasters (fire, landslides, climate changes etc.) and on the study of reaction-diffusion-aggregation equations and conservation laws.

Suitable Artificial Intelligence and High Performance Computing techniques will be introduced in the BIP. The event will be held at  University of L’Aquila.

The program will be composed by an online preparatory modulus (15 hours period 15-19 June 2026 ) and by an in presence week hosted by the D.I.S.I.M. (Department of Information Engineering, Computer Sciences and Mathematics) of the University of L'Aquila in the period 6 - 10 July  2026.

The deadline for registration will be defined according to the international offices agreements.
