JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship Program for Foreign Researchers

Pagoda
The JSPS offer is addressed to scientists who received their doctoral degrees no earlier than April 2, 2017. Individuals who have already benefited from a stay in Japan of more than 12 months under the JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship Program are not eligible to apply for the fellowships.

There are two places in the above program dedicated to researchers applying from Poland.

One of the conditions for acceptance of a research stay in Japan is the 'nomination' of the Polish Academy of Sciences. To apply for the nomination, please submit applications to the International Cooperation Department of the Polish Academy of Sciences (by email only to bwz@pan.pl) by December 31, 2022.

The submitted documentation should include inter alia:

  1. application form,
  2. a letter of acceptance/invitation from the nominee’s prospective host researcher in Japan, stating that he/she accepts the candidate at his/her institution (copy is also acceptable)
  3. a letter of reference/recommendation (copy is also acceptable) from the candidate’s current or previous supervisor (not from his/her prospective host researcher in Japan).
  4. a copy of the nominee’s Ph.D. degree diploma or PhD certificate (if the PhD degree has not yet been awarded, a letter is required from the nominee’s institution stating the date that he/she will officially receive the degree).

For any queries please contact Ms. Renata Kuskowska (tel. 22 182 65 11; e-mail: Renata.Kuskowska@pan.pl).
