Swiss government scholarship program for Polish citizens for year 2023/24

Swiss government scholarship program for Polish citizens for year 2023/24
The program provides scholarships for research stays, doctoral studies for young (born after December 31, 1987) graduates of master's studies, doctoral students and postdoc scholarships (age limit does not apply - obtaining a doctoral degree after December 31, 2019 and before July 31, 2023) representing various fields.

Program rules:

  • a period of 12 months,
  • available number of scholarships – 4,
  • knowledge of French, German, Italian or English is required,
  • required confirmation of acceptance by the selected foreign center.

Persons who meet the formal criteria will receive Swiss forms with explanations by e-mail.

Detailed information on behalf of the Swiss Embassy in Warsaw is provided by Ms Agnieszka Arzt (agnieszka.arzt@eda.admin.ch).

If you are interested in receiving the form, please contact Ms Elżbieta Dybcio-Wojciechowska (elzbieta.dybcio@nawa.gov.pl).

The entire documentation (signed originals + 1 copy) should be submitted by November 15, 2022 (the date of receipt of the documents by NAWA) to the address of the National Agency for Academic Exchange, Polna 40, 00-635 Warsaw.

The documents will be forwarded to the Swiss Embassy in Warsaw, which, after formal verification, will forward them to the Swiss side. The results will be announced in May 2022. The scholarships are paid by the Swiss side.

Additional comments regarding filling in the application:

  • documents must be arranged in the order specified in the manual,
  • in the case of documents with translations, the translation should be placed first, then the translated document,
  • diplomas should be arranged from the youngest to the oldest, i.e. first a doctoral diploma, then a master's degree, and then a bachelor's / engineering diploma,
  • it is necessary to attach lists of grades from the course of studies (diploma supplements) - this also applies to doctoral studies. If there were no assessments, an appropriate statement should be attached to avoid additional explanations or classifying the application as incomplete,
  • documents should not be stapled (only sworn translations may remain stapled, the rest of the documents should be separated if necessary),
  • do not put documents into folders or binders,
  • letters of recommendation should be in sealed envelopes - one copy of each of the two required letters is enough,
  • the application form and research plan should be signed,
  • the Europass cv template should not be used.
