Research internships at the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of European Commission

Joint Research Center
The EU Joint Research Center (JRC) encourages participation in paid internships organized by the JRC research institutes. Participation in the internship is dedicated to university graduates who obtained their diploma no later than 5 years ago.

The purpose of the internships is to gain experience by university graduates. The internships are carried out in thematic areas strategic for the European Union (such as: data analysis, finance and economy, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, health, nuclear energy, climate, security, energy).

The internships start on October 1st, 2022 and last 5 months. In exceptional circumstances, it is possible to postpone the start date or shorten the traineeship, but it may not be shorter than three months.

Available locations:

  • Ispra (Italy),
  • Geel (Belgium),
  • Petten (Netherlands),
  • Karlsruhe (Germany).

The participants will receive salaries (in accordance with the decision of the European Commission).

Applications can be submitted by May 31st, 2022 via the JRC recruitment system.
