Marie Skłodowska-Curie DOCTORAL NETWORKS
A consortium of universities, research institutions, enterprises (including SMEs) and other institutions apply for the project. The consortium must include at least 3 institutions from three different EU Member States or associated with the Horizon Europe framework program. Institutions from any country and sector can participate in the project. Institutions can play the role of beneficiaries in the consortium and then they have to hire at least one scientist or partner - in this case they do not have their own budget and their costs are reimbursed by the beneficiaries.
Each researcher employed in the Doctoral Networks project must also be a PhD student.
Types of Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Networks projects:
- Doctoral Networks: enables the development of doctoral programs through the collaboration of universities, research institutions, enterprises (including SMEs) and all other institutions from Europe and beyond. The program responds to the needs of development in the areas of research and innovation, enables scientists to have direct contact with the academic and non-academic environment, offers training, exchange of knowledge and skills;
- Industrial Doctorates: is dedicated to PhD students who want to develop their skills outside of academia, especially in the industrial and business sectors. Fellows must be enrolled in a doctoral school and be under the joint supervision of partners from the academic and non-academic industries;
- Joint Doctorates: the program offers international, cross-sectoral and interdisciplinary collaboration leading to the award of joint or multiple doctoral degrees. The cooperation is based on the joint selection of candidates and care.
The project budget includes the salaries of doctoral students, the costs of their research and training, network activities, organization of training and conferences as well as management costs and indirect costs - in the form of unit costs, calculated on the basis of the number of person-months planned to employ doctoral students.

- management and indirect costs: € 1,200,
- The living allowance is subject to a country-specific correction factor. In Poland, it is 70.5%.
Projects can last a maximum of 4 years, the hiring of individual scientists can be planned between 3 and 36 months.
