Open competition for non-commercial clinical tests ABM/2022/1

The purpose of this competition is to develop new diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in various areas of medicine with a premium on oncological diseases, childhood diseases (including infancy, neonatal and prenatal conditions), old age diseases, infectious diseases and their complications, e.g. in the form of postcovid syndrome , and immune-related diseases.

Projects submitted in this competition must have the status of non-commercial clinical tests concerning the assessment of the effects of a medicinal product.

The regulations allow the financing of non-commercial clinical trials, the subject of which is the development of new diagnostic schemes, if these schemes will be developed as part of a clinical trial of a medicinal product.

This competition introduces a requirement to bank biological material in order to use it later for scientific, diagnostic and epidemiological purposes, and above all for genome-wide sequencing or exome sequencing.

There is also added a requirement to attach a draft clinical trial protocol to the application.

The call for proposals in the system lasts:

  • 1st round: from 17 January 2022 from 12:01:00 to 17 March 2022 to 12:00:59
  • 2nd round: from March 17, 2022 from 12:01:00 to May 17, 2022 to 12:00:59.

The proposals should be submitted only in the form of an electronic document via the ICT system available on the Agency's website https://konkurs.abm.gov.pl/#/
