"Sonatina 6" competition

National Science Centre
The National Science Centre (NCN) has announced call for research projects under the SONATINA 6 competition. The competition was designed to support the careers of young researchers by creating full-time employment and research opportunities in Poland, as well as enabling them to gain knowledge and experience during internships in high-quality foreign research centers.

The competition is open to researchers with a PhD obtained in the year of submitting the application or in the period of 3 years before the year of submitting the application (in the period from January 1st, 2019 to December 31st, 2021) or to whom the PhD will be awarded by June 30thth, 2022.

The project manager is obliged to plan and complete a foreign internship lasting from 3 to 6 months in a foreign research centre.

The projects under this competition may last 24 or 36 months.

Conducted research is an obligatory part of the project. It can be both basic research and applied research (understood as work aimed at acquiring new knowledge and skills, aimed at developing new products, processes or services or introducing significant improvements to them).

The competition regulations indicate that in the project costs it is not possible to plan funds for the purchase or production of research equipment, devices or software.

Deadline

The call for proposals lsts until March 15th, 2022, 4 p.m.

Application

The proposals should be submitted only in electronic form via the ZSUN/OSF system.
