JRC - Joint Research Center

Joint Research Center
Joint Research Centre makes its infrastructures free to use by European researchers.

Competitions with continuous call for proposals are open all the time, for which researchers from various public and private sector organizations (SMEs, universities, institutes and others) can apply.

Free access to the best research centers in Europe and their infrastructure resources is possible in particular through the Transnational and Virtual Access competitions.

Competition rules:

  • possibility of going to another country,
  • length of stay - from 1 week to 3 months,
  • the project covers the costs of: research, travel, stay and access to e-infrastructure,
  • free research opportunities in the best science and research centers,
  • scientists/researchers (at any stage of their research career) may apply directly to the project under which the infrastructure is made available, in response to "Call for proposals".

Providing access to the research infrastructure of the Joint Research Center (JRC) aims to:

  • disseminating knowledge and research results,
  • supporting the competitiveness of applying organizations,
  • strengthening cooperation between science and industry,
  • training and raising competences.
