"Pearls of Science" Program

Ministry of Education and Science
The Minister of Education and Science announced a program called „Pearls of Science”. The program was designed to support entities of the higher education and science system in creating conditions for the development of highly gifted graduates of first-cycle studies or students who have completed the third or fourth year of uniform MA’s studies by enabling them conducting own scientific research or artistic creation under the supervision of an academic or artistic supervisor.
In the program may participate projects:

1. with maximum duration of 48 months,

2. in which the applicant will indicate:

a) a person responsible for the implementation of the project called „project manager”,

b) an academic tutor or an artistic project manager,

3. which do not include the following activities:

a) financed from other funds from the state budget,

b) performed before the day of signing the contract under the program,

4. which implementation costs do not exceed:

a) PLN 240 000 for a project in the field of exact and natural sciences, the field of engineering and technical sciences, the field of medical sciences and health sciences, or in the field of agricultural sciences,

b) PLN 200 000 for a project in the field of humanities, in the field of social sciences, in the field of theological sciences or in the field of art.,

5. in which:

a) the cost of the purchase of research equipment, IT infrastructure or equipment, devices or apparatus used for artistic activities does not exceed PLN 50 000, and financing this purchase from the funds granted under the program is possible only if the applicant does not have or does not have the possibility of using the necessary equipment or infrastructure,

b) the project manager's salaries do not exceed PLN 3 000 per month,

c) indirect costs do not exceed 10% of direct costs.

Deadline

The call for proposals started on January 4th, 2022 and lasts until February 18, 2022, 4 p.m.
