Topology and Dynamical Systems in Action – Summer school 2023

The Faculty of Applied Physics and Mathematics of Gdańsk University of Technology invites international students to the summer school on Topology and Dynamical Systems in Action, organized within the ScienceApp project.

All Participants will receive a diploma certifying acquired skills and learning outcomes, and ECTS credits collected during the training that may be recognized by the home institution.

We offer both introductory and more advanced courses from three different branches of mathematics: topological methods in modern dynamical systems, application of differential equations and dynamical systems in biomathematics and topological data analysis. The school will be organized in two modules: one week online (19-23 June) and one week hybrid i.e. in-person and online (26-30 June) 2023 at the Faculty of Applied Physics and Mathematics of the Gdańsk University of Technology. Therefore a complete participation online is also possible.

The participation at the school is free of charge. Accommodation and lunches are not included. Cheap accommodation in walking distance from the university campus can be booked in the student dormitory ( https://pg.edu.pl/en/accommodation-office/tourist-zone ). Early booking is recommended. For students from outside Poland we have a limited number of fellowships to support the travel and stay.

ScienceApp project is run within the frame of the SPINNAKER program - Intensive International Curricula, organized by the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), financed by the European Union under the Knowledge Education Development Operational Program (Action 3.3. Internationalization of Higher Education). The budget of the project is PLN 726,900.00. ScienceApp aims to attract talented international students and young researchers to Gdańsk Tech.
