awardee & supervisor
The Mayor of Gdansk in cooperation with the Fahrenheit Universities have created Fahrenheit scholarships for the best three PhD students from abroad. The third edition of this program has just been resolved.

We are very pleased to announce that the winner of the competition, Gilvana Pereira Siqueira from the Federal University of Uberlandia in Brazil, will carry out research at the Institute of Nanotechnology and Materials Engineering. The winners receive a scholarship of PLN 6,500 net per month, as well as accommodation and travel expenses.

Gilvana Pereira Siqueira's research focuses on the use of sustainable materials for the manufacturing of modern, 3D printable electrochemical sensors. Thanks to the scholarship, for a period of one year she will be able to carry out research at the Division of Electrochemistry and Surface Physical Chemistry, under the supervision of prof. Jacek Ryl. The project is part of cooperation with the research group of prof. Rodrigo A.A. Munoz (https://ppgqui.iq.ufu.br/pessoas/rodrigo-alejandro-abarza-munoz), who was a visiting professor at our Faculty in July this year as part of the IDUB Einsteinum program.
