Organizers QUEUE II

Maciej Bobrowski, PhD, DSc is the chair of the Quantum and Molecules II (QUEUE II) summer school.

Maciej Bobrowski holds a PhD degree in Theoretical Chemistry and a DSc degree in Physics. He works as a university professor at the Faculty of Applied Physics and Mathematics of Gdańsk Tech, and in the Centre of Informatics Tricity Academic Supercomputer and networK (CI TASK). His fields of interests include chemistry of any kind, functional materials, electronic structure & its changes, quantum & numerical methods, and programming.  He is a very experienced researcher who participated, managed, and coordinated several national as well as international projects, including

run with best universities, research institutes and industry partners from EU and beyond. 
Apart from research, Maciej is strongly engaged into teaching. He is one of the main academic teachers in the international double degree Master’s program in Nanotechnology and Mathematical Engineering – InterMaths - Mathematics for new materials design run in collaboration with the University of L’Aquila (Italy).

 

Organization of the summer school is supported by dr. Justyna Szostak, head of the ScienceApp project. Dr. Szostak is the chair of the Rector’s Internationalization Committee of Gdańsk Tech, Dean’s Proxy for Internationalization, Erasmus+ Coordinator, Coordinator of the International Relations Office of the FAP&M, and an expert in the joint international multiple degree programs. She represents the university in many international organizations, including the RealMaths Consortium. She is a Co-Chair of Task Force Learning & Teaching of the CESAER organization of 57 European universities of technology. 
Justyna is a graduate of the Faculty of Applied Physics and Mathematics of Gdańsk Tech, where she obtained her Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Physics.

 

Iwona Kuzborska
Iwona is an assistant employed in the Secretary Office of the Institute of Physics and Applied Computer Science. She is responsible for the promotion and registration. She is actively supporting the in-person activities of all of our ScienceApp events.
