Professor Brygida Mielewska with a Ministry of Education and Science award | Faculty of Applied Physics and Mathematics at the Gdańsk University of Technology

Professor Brygida Mielewska, who also serves as associate dean for education at the Faculty of Applied Physics and Mathematics, has been coordinating education in the Medical Physics specialty within the interfaculty course of Biomedical Engineering, since 2008. During this period, she has promoted more than 100 engineer’s and master's theses, initiated didactic cooperation with the staff of GUMed / UCK and the Oncology Centers in Gdansk, Gdynia and Bydgoszcz, as well as the National Accelerator Center of the University of Seville.

 

In recent months, in cooperation with GUMed and University of Gdańsk and the Gdansk Branch of the Polish Society of Medical Physics, she has initiated a series of meetings of Pomeranian medical physicists, called POMERANIA FIZ-MED, under the patronage of the Rector of Gdańsk Tech. Since November 2022, she has served as Vice President of the Gdansk Branch of the PTFM. She also cooperates with the National Center for Nuclear Research in Świerk.
