D.Sc. Beata Bochentyn, Gdańsk Tech professor, graduated from the Faculty of Applied Physics and Mathematics (specialty of Applied Computer Science) in 2009. In 2013 obtained the Ph.D. title in the discipline of physics, and in 2020 the degree of habilitated doctor in the field of exact and natural sciences, in the discipline of physical sciences.

Her research on oxide functional materials for fuel cells and thermoelectric cells arouses great interest in the scientific community, as they are part of an important, current trend of research in the field of solid state physics and materials engineering. This is evidenced by e. g. publications in high-scoring journals from the JCR list, which in a short time gain a large number of citations. So far, her research on this subject has resulted in 31 articles in JCR journals and almost 50 articles in other peer-reviewed publications. In addition, she had almost 100 oral and poster speeches at national and international conferences. She was also a project manager of two research rants financed by the National Science Centre as part of the PRELUDIUM and SONATA calls. Professor Beata Bochentyn is also a laureate of other awards and scholarship programs, e.g. scholarship for outstanding doctoral students awarded by the Ministry of Science and Education as well as the START scholarship awarded to the University of Silesia ...

Privately, mother of three energetic boys, a fan of children's football and basketball.
